Canon 1D Mark IV Release Date

Just got the scoop fromTeam Digital The Canon 1D mark IV will be here mid December, that means in a week or so. Now that is something worth frothing over too. Price from what I have been told is about $500 above the previous model. Now it better be worth the extra dough, I’m sure it will be. At this stage it looks as though Michael might get one to shoot with on his True North trip around Sydney Harbour. It will be awesome to use for the fireworks in the city on New Years Eve. Ben will hopefully get him one to take over, if he can’t maybe it is something Canon might get behind to help show off the video capability of this beast. The rest of us can only dream about being on True North on New Years Eve with a brand new mark IV to play with. Wish I was a video guy.

FotoFreo 2010

Since the end of FF2008, planning has been underway for 2010. While the workshop program is just small part of the overall FF2010 it promises to bring informative and fun element to the program. The committee believed this wokshop program should be about the craft of capturing images. So the courses have been designed to be as handson as they can be . Team Digital have been part of FotoFreo for many years now, and look forward to helping make this program the most successful yet.

Who's a Lucky Girl Then

You know it’s not every day you get to meet someone famous. The lord Mayor of Perth, Lisa Scaffidi, must have been beside herself getting to not only meet me but Michael as well. I guess she will be wanting to get this pic framed. The said photo kindly taken by none other than Jamie Paterson at the opening of Apaches new offices in the Perth CBD. I must say the artwork was brilliant, shame about the photos they hung!! It was a great arvo mixing it with the suits, I must have signed 50 autographs, it’s a shame no one wanted one!

Now who’s Michael and who is Christian, clue, Michael is a piss head! Ask him about doing his knee on the dance floor with a 21 year old blonde after his PNG trip. Actually ask Truenorthmark he was there to pick up the pieces!

GUERILLA LANEWAY EXHIBITION

As usual WA is leading the way with innovative ways of promoting photography and Team Digital is supporting it, a good friend Nikki is co-ordinating GUERILLA LANEWAY EXHIBITION.
For those that don’t know, this is an opportunity to display your work in a spontaneous/ pop-up fashion as it will only be up for the day.
It is run at a very low cost which means you only need to supply your work as an A3 photocopy. You can submit up to 5 images at a cost of $1 per submission. Nikki will supply the Blu Tac so basically all you do is find a space on the wall and stick up your stuff!
Being in the city on a Sunday, it will be a great opportunity for the pedestrian traffic to come in and view some art right in the middle of the hustle and bustle!

Brights Autumn Trees

Going back a few years I went to Bright one Australian destination every landscape photographer should go to. Bright is in Victoria in the Alpine region and every year in April May it turns Yellow. Neal from Spool photography got me thinking about all that amazing colour you get every autumn. These type of images are just crying out Jigsaw puzzle!! Anybody want one??? I’ll make this a million pieces just to make it more challenging for the kids. Will keep them quiet I think!

Michaels PNG Landscape Video

Have a look at Michaels next Video from PNG, if your not impressed you must be brain dead. This is one spectacular place and the video is breathtaking. I will doing this trip to Papua New Guinea on True North next year teaching those on board how to take better photos. Can’t wait.

Surfing the Montebello Islands

Hows this for a wicked wave I shot on my recent trip to the Montebellos. I think that is the famous surfer Christian Fletcher on that wave. That is a sick pit he is pulling into. Don’t surf for too long or you come out glowing, remember it was nuked 3 times!!!

Autumn Trees, Dorrigo

After seeing Neal Pritchards amazing Autumn tree shot from America, I had a look at my crap. I worked this up in desperation to claw back any self respect I could muster only to have failed the mission. Neal you have clipped my wings on that one mate.
This scene was in Dorrigo, NSW.
