I am selling my trusty 1Ds Mark II to make room for the new Phase One. Looking for $2995, body only. It is still a relevant camera and some of my best images were taken with it. Have a look at this one
Also, one of my all time favourites if you have any doubt about the quality of this camera. I paid $9500 for it and I know you can get a 5D2 for $3500 but you can’t get that thing near any serious dust or water. In fact, and some might say this is a big call, I think the files from the 1ds actually looked better. It is solid, reliable and like all one series Canons indestructible.
Send me an email if you would like it christianfletcher@westnet.com.au

ill give ya 500! CASH! haha
k ill extend my offer to $600 and a carton! only cause the 400d is rooted! (see my blog bout that!)
Well done with the Phase One mate!
That should cover half the GST on the Phase One hehe Must be a nice feeling getting a Phase One!
Do you want to swap it for a D200 Nikon ? he he.
When does the new beast arrive ? can’t wait to see what you can do with it.
Mate, you’ll be trading in that Mamiya (oops, Plase one I mean) once you see the new Leica S2 that arrived in WA today!!!
Bargain mate should get snapped up, yes those two images are just awesome, my fav’s too! I’ll chuck a link on my blog for you too, never know!
what’s the phase one worth??
A great body, I have one and for landscape work it is ideal, I team it with the 16-35 lens.
great deposit Dylan!
Dave the luck was getting a bigger loan from the bank!!
GST ah thats right, you get that back anyway.
Anonymous, the camera will be in my hot little hands on Friday night. Need to get the insurance organised. That will probably be the cost of a 50D every year!
Paul, don’t you like Mamiya, I mean Phase, I think the Leica will be awesome but not enough resolution for me and I will be buying a technical camera also so the Leica would be useless. Also Phase One is the first company that has shown any interest in my brand and put an offer to me I couldn’t refuse. You have to support those who support you.
Thanks for the post on your blog too David, I like the ferrari reference. haha
Dan about $70,000 with the three lenses I bought and the p65+ back and the Phase One body. Not cheap but I am now able to compete with Peter Eastway, Ken Duncan, Joey Lawrence, Jerry Ghionis amongst others. I expect to get a return on it one day but as we all know, it isn’t about the money it is about seen your work in the best possible way. These backs are the best on the planet, with Hasselblad and now Leica so as a pro photographer you have to go that way eventually. And it’s only money. Besides I drive around in a $14,000 landcruiser so I what I haven’t wasted on a car I have spent on my new camera.
It would be a great backup body for anyone venturing out into the wild Odille.
Cant wait to see the snaps from the Phase One! 60 megapixels is craaazy…you might need a super computer to deal with the files eh!
Great stuff mate… that’s a big wad of cash but well worth it. Your going to squeeze every last bit of processing power out of your mac with RAW files like that on a stitch.
the 16 bit tiffs come in at a whopping 350 odd mb per shot. Now that is resolution!!
Thats bloody crazy big.
Mate you could have gone Pentax and saved yourself a fortune:

Hehehe – oops, sorry, these brand wars are just childish
Congrats Christian, I am sure you will have lots and lots of fun with the new toy! Expect to see some great detail from you (and some c*ckups) over the coming weeks!
Muzz, spend under $50k and you just don’t register in the biggest ego stakes!
Pentax, phew for a minute I thought you said Tampax. Both not really usable to me.
Looks like you are leaving the Nikon v Canon flame war to small guys and going into the big league. What camera body are thinking of getting.? The Alpa looks great.
there will be lots of cockups Simon don’t worry, It is always hard getting used to a new camera.
I’ll always be here to make comments on the Canon Nikon thing Peter, it won’t affect me now I’m in the big league but I still love stirring the pot.
I have the Phase one body an 80mm Schneider lens, a 45 and a 150 phase one lens. Should do for starters.
Your work is legendary stuffs mate!
Christian,
Do you still have the 1Ds? If so, what’s the shutter count?
Cheers mate
PJ
GDay Christian
I currently use a combination of Canon 7D & 60D cameras for my sporting photography / business. I am not looking at another body at this stage however would be interested in a zoom lens if you were off loading any. I get some great shots using a sigma 50 – 500 however I am ready to update. Looking at 500+ zoom. If you can help at all you can contact me thru my website http://www.nashyspix.com

Good luck with your business…
