Follow the link here to join Denis on a journey to the Okavango Delta in Botswana
Botswana’s Okavango Delta is remarkable because it is a wetland paradise in the middle of the arid Kalahari Desert. Each year floodwater flows into the Okavango from over 1000km away, creating a unique wetland that sustains a mesmerizing variety of wildlife. Without this water, the area would be as featureless as that of the surrounding Kalahari Desert.
Instead, it is one of the most sought after places in the world for wildlife and nature photographers. It is a shimmering, matchless watery jewel in the midst of inhospitable surroundings. It’s flat, wildlife-packed expanses are awash with African colours and vistas. For most photographers wishing to experience one of nature’s “untouched” jewels, this part of Africa is unsurpassed.

Looks very good, Etosha in Namibia and Okavango Delta in Botswana are probably two of the very best wildlife spots in Africa. I hope to go there later this year / early next year, all aboard if you wish to come
Oooo would love to go back to Africa, looks like an awesome trip.
Did you write that with a David Attenborough voice going through your head?

thats great Denis, it would be an awesome trip. I will be there next year for sure.
were planning the skeleton coast in Namibia in july next year, this part of the coast line has been restricted becasue of the diamond mining concessions, but thay are starting to open it up to small groups, the dunes and scenery is amazing, maybe even see the white lions on the beach. some of the surviing skeletal ship wrecks still grace the beaches, thus naming this part of the coast line,
we cant wait. will have to take the paraglider as well, with dunes several hundred meters high. mind you you dont want to get blown over one of those….!
Nigel,
I was in Namibia for nearly four weeks last year including the Skeleton Coast. and Sossusvlei.
If I can be of any asistance with your planning, please do not hesitate to ask.
Regards,
Denis.
