I’m on fire, I might have even posted more than Markie in the past two days. Now your asking why is it so? I’ll tell ya!
24 reasons actually, 24 lovely GB of RAM. I got the 8 core back from Team Digital on Monday and now this thing screams. I feel like I’m back processing 5D files again it is that quick. The best money I ever spent. Now I have a usable machine to push pixels around. And do you know what? Content Aware fill actually works now!!
Now to the image. Shot on a mine site in the Pilbara and stylised for the hell of it. Having fun is what it is all about, I guess I should go and do some work that might actually make me some money. This image was inspired by my mate and Grand Master photographer Tony Hewitt.

Will you guys take it easy on posting, give a fella a chance! With that posting rate by the time we hit PNG we’ll have to be live video broadcasting from an iphone 4 to keep up with the insane amounts of pure brilliance we will be producing!
Nothing beats RAM! I just ordered 8 gigs of RAM for my Macbook Pro, Photoshop was out of breath all the time!
I like the image hiding behind all that texture – not a big fan of texture itself I must admit.
Nice Christian, you have taken a standard everyday scene and made it look very cool indeed!
That shop front certainly came in handy!
Different Christian…I’ll give you that!
It will be game on in PNG boys…a posting fest from hell…bring it on I say and Christian…looks like i am goin to have to lift my game if you have posted more than me in the last 2 days! Note that I was travelling for one of them!
Post work on the photograph is amazing Christian. From nothing to something
Travelling is not an excuse Markie, it is game on for png!
Thanks for the comments guys, I like this sort of image but I don’t really know what I would do with it.
Hey CF not sure about the texture on this one? However I love everything else!!
yep Antonio, I might rework and get rid of the texture or at least apply a slight one to the sky.
thumbs up from me
NO leave it alone! Cant believe I like this. I think you are on to something here Christian. I can see a whole exhibition based around the old frame/old look and the modern scene.
maybe just darken the very light bit up over the stop sign.
Hmmmm maybe you need some noise removal software or make sure your lens is clean before you take the photo? ;o)
24 GB of RAM! Crikey! How did I guess that it came from Team Digital?!!?
thanks Hazel, glad you liked this one. The frames and borders I have used recently are from Marcus Bell, I bought them off him to have a tinker.
Haha funny stuff nigel, will be sure to clean the lens next time! How SA going?
Because Tommy, all the best things come from Team Digital. You should try them, you might really like the service you get!
Hi killer SA going well, but need to gat back to australian shores.home is where the heart lies.
You cant beat WA Nige!
I like your “experiments” with different techniques including this one but somehow the graded heaviness of the textured overlay from right to left distracts at the right side of the image rather than adds to it. I was trying to work out the story you were telling here but then I decided it was messing with my head so I stopped – like the sign says – ahh, now I see that’s what you wanted in the first place! – “STOP”. Very subliminal and subtle manipulation of the viewer Christian, extremely clever and successfully presented – you are a genius!.
Yes I am Muzz, you are a funny bugger and an amazing art lover. You know your stuff.
