Launceston has this great arts centre with a museum and a scitech type place for the kids. This blacksmiths workshop was set up as a display, it was brilliant. The Phase loves this sort of image. 6 images focus stacked with Helicon and then Freaky Details in Photoshop.

Christian, you must be the only person I know who likes Launceston! I would say that you must have drunk too much Boag’s but that is just not possible! Ha ha
Cool shot little Buddy!
Nice image….really like the colour tones in it.
That detail from front to back is something else. So did you get the special tour as a VIP or was there just no one else around?
Nice, pin sharp. I like it.
Freaky Details? What is this Christian?
Hi grant. It is a workflow in Photoshop that brings out detail in shadows and mid tones. It is a bit complicated but i teach it at my workshops. Produces some amazing results.
Nice shot, it’s a fantastic place that shop.
The Blacksmith Shop is how it was when the railway stopped using it. The night that the place closed down everything was left as it was. stayed there for years and was incorporated into the new museum when they took over the building. Some of us do like Launceston, even choosing to live here!
Of course I got the VIP tour Muzz.
Hey Bat sorry I didn’t catch up with you. I knew you would be busy with the new bub and we were busy with our bubs. Never enough time in the day. Would have been different if I was on my own. Launceston is brilliant. So beautiful and in the most photogenic state in Australia. You can’t not be inspired when there.
Love this one CF, Would love to know all the freaky details of your latest workflow but trying to get on one of your workshops is like trying to get a solo flight to the moon. he he.
