Cable Beach has been shot to death. Sorry no camels this time but that gives me an idea!!
Handheld shot with the Phase One. Very shallow DOF in this shot. I like it though. For some unknown reason!

I like it, it has an almost 60′s feel to it …. Maybe its the crop, reminds me of those old family photos that where roughly the same with the thicker white border at the bottom …
rate it!
There’s something European about this. Looks good. I like it without the camels for sure.
Exactly what Neal said, the format, the lack of colour, the lack of human presence all lend to that old school feel. It helps that the umbrella looks it as well.. it looks like it’s a limited edition ‘classic’ series umbrella
Big bold and simple. Great stuff.
Thanks mate, good to try out different stuff. It is fun! pretty sad though when you have fun playing inside on a computer in a room that must be 40 degrees!
Is there a making off video for this image, where you land in a chopper and run in Baywatch slowmotion down the beach and hammer down the umbrella as if you were conquering new land?
yes and I had to tear the sleeves off of my shirt too!
Almost ‘retro’ . . . love it and would be great in the gallery . . . on canvas?
yeah maybe Tanya, but Al likes Blue, I am just a pawn in the great photographic industry. I take the shots and leave it up to everyone else to decide what gets sold! Such is life!
undecided on this one7
So is my wife.
Nice one Christian. Loving the look of this one.
Simplicity at its best. Reminds me of a magnum photographer’s work…. I think its Peter Marlow. He see the beauty in simple everyday objects and situations.
thanks Hazel, it stuck out to me. Your mate Tony Hewitt really liked this one too!
