This was the Saturday morning on the weekend the cyclone didn’t show up in the south west. It was beautiful cloud and just begging for a shot. Once again luminosity masked saved my blown sky.

Thats nice .
Nice one Little buddy…you got the gold on that morning mate!
thanks boys!
Damn fine – that would have to sell wouldn’t it? I was packing up the camper trailer in the rain at that time, otherwise I’m sure i would have taken an award-winning shot myself.
great shot! one day ill make it out of bed for a sunrise
Got to love the luminosity masks!
Perfect light – great reflection. Nice
Love the sky Christian, talk about magic light
love the new images mate! missing the Pano’s you used to do though!
Clouds appear to be suffering from camera shake and it appears you are overestimating the powers of the dynamic range of the Phase yet again. Rescuing blown highlights, how can it happen?
Nice little image, think you get the best from this morning. Can’t be bothered processing mine as they contain no buddhist monks.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful what more can I say.
Can I ask Christian if the sky is getting too blown would it be better to use a grad filter or not? Not being smart just asking from a learning point of view for myself?
Yep should have used a grad nd but I was lazy. I don’t tend to use them these days and prefer to shoot two exposure and blend them together.
Is that because you prefer to work harder instead of smarter lol? Joke from the other post.
Do you not like to use filters now because you feel that they can contribute to loss of sharpness in your shots? I think you said something about that at your workflow workshop or is it that you really just can’t be bothered getting it out?
I just want to know because sometimes it is a pain in the butt with the filters but I feel that sometimes it’s better for it to take a bit longer to set up so the shot is better without the need to photoshop as much.
I’m just thinking that if I can not have to photoshop as much it saves alot of time. I suppose it doesn’t take you long but to blend the two images does it?
awesome image mate simple and clean love it
Wow thats mesmerising! Did you focus stack this by any chance?
nah single capture.
