I know I’m not going to be the first to say it but there is some pretty spectacular subject matter in this shot. I’m not the only Fletcher who takes photos. My wife isn’t to shabby either. We went and got some shots with the Elinchrom Ranger Quadra kit courtesy of Team Digital
I was the model and it was lit with the Quadras. It is amazing how powerful they are and I had it turned all the way down and facing away from me. Pretty cool lights that are so portable. Shot on the Fuji X100 of course.
Believe it or not this is our house in Dunsborough. It has been vandalised as it is in the bush and it is abandoned. The thing is it is all asbestos so the little dirtbags that have been knocking holes in the walls for the past year have probably exposed themselves to some nasty stuff. I do believe in karma you know!
Thanks kids for the renovations! What did you expect my house to look like, I used our money to buy the Phase One! It gets cold in winter I can tell you!

A very good effort, but any self portrait nowadays that doesn’t feature cross dressing is just really boring isn’t it
Nice touch with the Police tape, I don’t remember that from when I saw it? I’ve stayed in worse places mate, I don’t mind at all, I’ll move in and take care of this treasure trove of altered landscape, well housescape
Elinchrom Ranger Kit is awesome. Almost too powerful. You end up having to point it straight into the ceiling and then spend the whole night explaining what exactly it is you’re doing.
Go on, do a “Fuji by Fuji” blog post, you simply must
haha that was so funny, you holding a poll all night. Maybe you should have been dancing around it!! Fuji by Fuji, nice concept.
That’s not a self portrait. I think he says his wife made it.
Glad you got your priorities right with the Foxtel dish on the roof!!! Just need more blankets!!
Do you really own that house?! Hope your insurance covers for vandalism!!
Quadra’s definitely on the shopping list…
Blessed little treasures we have out there eh!
Make sure the builders insurance is up to scratch once you start the renos mate… Looks like it could well be a target!
Nice work on the portrait as well Jen!
A renovator’s delight, something to keep you occupied in your spare time. It will come up a treat with a little TLC. The driftwood scatter-cushion in the hallway is a welcoming touch.
Cold in the winter, what a laugh! You don’t know cold, mate. Now heat, you do know.
Still if the place is all asbestos, good luck with that.
I’d prefer to see pictures of Fuji taken with the Fuji, that is if Fuji would stay still.
So that’s the shack – not bad, free air conditioning…. great in summer ! Also some yummy looking asbestos there – very Pilbara
The portrait shot is pretty cool – well done by you and the wife.
Geez Christian, stop rubbing that X100 in my face, I don’t have the money for it, but I want it!
Levi it is something you should have. The best camera I have had for a while, well only second to the phase of course.
