I went out with my little mate Charlie down to one of our local beaches called “Honeycombs” to give my new Glidecam HD 2000 camera stabiliser a go and to do some timelapses. It’s a great piece of gear for any videographer and makes shooting on the hop much easier and the results a lot more natural.

Hi Michael,
Great vid! Really impressed with the quality of the footage. Is it difficult to get the hang of balance wise? I’ve had a couple of goes with a steady cam and it takes some getting used to. This looks a little more user friendly though. Can you buy them in Perth? Cheers Craig
Hey Craig
Balancing the rig was really quick and easy and it’s quite easy to use too but will need a bit of practice. I tends to rotate a bit so you need two hands to operate it efficiently.
Dont know if you can get them in Perth. I got mine from B&H. Quality of build is very good.
Cheers
Hey mate,
Thanks for your response. These look the goods and heaps cheaper than a steady cam. By the way you’re not lying about the Apple TV/Vimeo combo. Watched this on my new Samsung LED widescreen and the quality is phenomenal!
Awesome, I love sandy apples.
Very steady vid, looks like it works a treat.

Hi Michael,
A friend just emailed me this link and I thought you’d appreciate it. Great soundtrack from the new Bon Iver album and filmed on location in Iceland.

Hi Craig, I just checked out that link you posted for the new Bon Iver track – it’s awesome. I have only just been to Iceland (last week!) and seeing some of those familiar landscapes in a film-clip is really cool
Wow! Very cool.
Incredibly sharp images and great use of depth of field, what camera did you use to achieve this?
