Well I managed to pick up the award for WA landscape Photographer of the Year tonight, bummed out I wasn’t there to get the prize in person. Tony rang me and had me on loud speaker. So glad I didn’t swear! It was a total shock and I was just about to go to bed, the boring life of a landscape shooter.
Thanks to the WA AIPP board the sponsors and the judges. I am so happy. And to my good mate and inspiration, Tony Hewitt, thanks buddy, you’re the best. You have helped me to get my images up to scratch and I really appreciate the advice and time you have given me over the years. BTW Tony got the highest scoring Landscape print and was runner up in Landscapes too. Go Tone!

Yeah the sand dune pic was popular but my wife doesn’t rate it.
Couple of aerials in the mix too! hows that octo coming along?
Mate it is a real hassle getting the license to fly an octo. You need CASA approval and if you shoot commercially without a license they will shut you down. Thinking it might not be the way to go after all.
