Some nice work by my bro. We are heading off to film our first serious podcast, now that he is good enough to capture someone of my ilk!!
New Vineyard Video Footage by Michael
Michael knocked up this footage that was going to go into a presentation at the Qantas wine show last week. Unfortunately the time schedule was too tight and it didn’t make it in. They did however use my images in the presentation on a massive screen. Will be getting photos of the night soon so I will post some when they arrive.
Pardoo Sunset
This was another image from my trip to Port Hedland. How am I ever going to catch up, there are just too many raw images to work. I guess that is a good thing. Took this with beer in hand, how’s the horizon Flemming? I know I know it isn’t straight, to lazy to fix it for this post. Not bad though considering I was intoxicated!………………. not really! To all you kids out there (Stakky) just don’t drink!
Queen of the Dance Floor
This is a pic of my good mate “Paulie” Paul Maietta at the recent Aipp conference at Bunker Bay. Paulie is a fun guy and definitely in touch with his girlie side. His wife is always looking for the lipstick, usually ends up in his manbag! If you are not using Fitzgeralds for your prints you aren’t getting the best Australia has to offer. Give Paulie a call or send him an email, let him know it’s ok to be soft! Fitzgeralds
Night Vision
This is a photo taken last Saturday night near Contos. I joined Jamie, Kirk and Neal, (the A team) for a bit of drink’n and shooting way into the dark of night. We agreed that we didn’t do this sort of thing much because we are all scared of the dark. At least we are not too proud to admit it. Was lots of fun and I think there will be more of this type of work when the new 5D comes out. Thanks boys for a fun night and the free beers. Hope you guys are going to kick my a@#se with your shots……………. since I was using the oldest camera, and didn’t have a cable release! p.s. thanks to Jamie for bringing his flash and pinging it off for us all night.
Times up
Saw this old tractor when I was doing the shoot for Fraser Gallop Winery. Thought it would make a good subject. Just needed the time to go back. I don’t mind this shot. Sky was a bit of a problem so I had to blur it a bit. Didn’t stitch together well as the exposures were so long, at least 30 seconds each from memory, maybe longer.
Hamelin Bay Trip
Had a great trip to Hamelin Bay last weekend. Got some photos and managed to have a fly on my paraglider at Boranup Beach. Downside, my mates boy was throwing up all weekend and all I could think about was my kids catching his bug. So far we are all ok but the next day or so will be the decider if the quarantine measures were effective. This pic was a 4 minute exposure at f5.6 iso 200. It worked pretty well. Single image capture with noise ninja to the rescue. Unfortunately my bro had the 24mm lens so I had to use my crappy 16-35. Bugger. Might try some more moon shots whilst it is getting full.
Two Perth Courses
I will be running two courses in November both in Perth. The first will be at PRA Imaging, Newcastle St, Perth on Monday the 10th of November and the second will be at Photocoffee, Rockingham, on Saturday the 22nd. Both will run the same as my Dunsborough courses and will be $250 per person. This will include wine, a workbook with all the subjects we talk about and a nice desert, not to mention my 17 years of experience I will share. I am trying to get reps from Canon and Apple to attend so you will be able to ask them any details about their equipment as well as new products on the horizon. At PRA we will be demonstrating the Canon ipf 8100 printer as a bonus and I will talk about why I use Canon above Epson. We have only 20 places available for each night so if you are interested book your spot asap. Matt from Canon should have some news on the eagerly awaited 5D mark II and Brendan from PRA will have some specials on the night if you want to get into the same gear I am using. I hear Kingsley at Photocoffee makes a mean coffee. I will also hopefully be announcing a new project which should be ready for November. For those who have been on a previous course of mine I am offering a half price fee, i.e. $125. That is compensation for having to listen to me all over again. Priority will be given to those who haven’t been before but all are welcome.
Perth Workshop
Just gaging the interest for a workshop in Perth. Send me an email if you would be keen to come to a course I will run in Perth in October or early November. christianfletcher@westnet.com.au
Boba Fett
Ok so I love Star Wars. What does one do on a cold wet Spring day? Draw pictures of course! Don’t worry, I’m having a drink as well. Wish my kids were old enough to watch Star Wars, today would be perfect for a movie marathon. My recipe for a perfect arvo, Red wine, Macbook pro, wacom tablet and 3 hours to myself!
FOR SALE PAGE
Don’t forget to have a look at my For Sale page if you are looking for some gear or want to sell some gear. We already have a lens, a camera, a scanner and someone wanting to buy a tripod. Add your unwanted gear to the list and hopefully we can all be cashed up!!
