The Port Hedland altered landscape workshop is over and what a great time we had. Thanks to all those who attended, lots of familiar faces all wanting to get their teeth into something a little different. We went out and shot these tanks tonight, great subjects.

I have been playing the waiting game all week. Waiting for the pages of the book to be printed, checking each one as they go to print. Luckily Steve who is printing my job has been an absolute legend. Top bloke and he is getting it perfect every time. The beauty of doing a book locally at a place like Scott Print is you become part of the process again. You are there at every turn making sure you baby is treated right. I have had the use of a great office right there next to the press, it has been a great experience.
So in between forms coming off the printer I went for a wander around the building shooting signs of years of work and industry. Great fun finding images in the most unlikely places.
Thanks Scott Print, I’ll be back!

Now that is a lot of paper! Luckily it is all sustainably sourced. Check out Scott Prints process green credentials.
My office at Scott print. Complete with framed CF originals and a packet of snakes! I could put a swag in the corner and I’d be in heaven!

I shot this last night with Markie Mark Stothard, Neil Spool Pritchard and Glenn, Marks mate and owner of the above vehicle. Channeling my inner bogan I worked this tirelessly thinking back to my youth when I had a Gallant wagon with mag wheels and a surfboard permanently welded to the roof racks. Ahhh those were the days!
Stupidly though I thought I would beat Mark to the post of this shoot, what was I thinking!!!
Shot on the awesome Phase One IQ180. I was surrounded by D800e’s last night, I think I might be coming down with a Nikon allergy!

Beautiful tidal patterns taken from the top of a large hill we landed on with the helicopter.

I have been back from the True North Kimberley PODAS for a few weeks and only now getting some time to go through the images I captured on the trip. This first one is a little different but I like it. This was our cruise up the Hunter river in search of waterfalls. Not bad when your tender boat is a 50m luxury floating hotel. We had breakfast on the bow of the boat whilst the crew served us up awesome coffees. All the whilst I was pinching myself, how’d I get so lucky?
More images from the trip to come.
