Kangaroo Island, South Australia
We’re thinking of Australia today amidst the terrible bush fires.
We were on Kangaroo Island this time two years ago, where I took this photo at the Remarkable Rocks, Kangaroo Island. I think it says a lot about our current situation – the problem is huge and we are small.
There are things we can do though. Send a letter to your MP asking them to take climate change seriously and donate to one of the many organisations helping fire affected people and wildlife.
We are donating to Busselton & Dunsborough Community Bank Branches, who have partnered with the Salvation Army. 100% of funds raised will go directly to communities affected http://bit.ly/35io3jr

Last week we delivered a few large scale pieces to go in a beautifully renovated home.
This one, of Yallingup beach, is 3 pieces of 130cm x 130cm each. Shadow line canvas. And the other is Bunker Bay, 3 metre panoramic, also a shadow lined stretched canvas. Doesn’t it look amazing in this space?!

Down South is Lonely Planet’s Best in Asia Pacific 2019 ! How awesome is that?! Of course, I’ve always known that. It’s why I live in Dunsborough. If you haven’t visited yet, then you definitely should. Maybe wait until summer though. It’s a bit wet and cold at the moment.
This is what Lonely Planets had to say – “Take one look at Meelup Beach and you’ll wonder where it’s been all your life: the West Australian bush parts to reveal ocean the hue of a Bombay Sapphire bottle, which is typical of the coastline stretching from Margaret River to the state’s south. Beyond the sand, some of the country’s slickest wineries, breweries and restaurants lie between tracts of tall-tree forest and kangaroo-dotted farmland.”

Apple and I have been exploring our block. We have had four major trees come down this winter. I can’t remember having so many back to back storms. In the previous 6 years we had not had any trees come down. The most recent one was during last weekends storm. A big Marri tree has fallen onto our rainwater tank. Crazy weather!

The clouds are making way for some sunshine. Felt inspired to get out with the camera and enjoy. The bay is looking great for the boat lovers and if you look closely you can see a small wave at the Super-bank. Hope you get a chance to relax today too. Life’s for living right?

Getting into a bit of storm chasing. Dinner was cooked, kids were happy. The clouds were building so I had no excuses. Headed out to Nannup last night to try my luck. Got a couple. Nothing epic but I had a ball. Some lightning but not close enough to get the hair standing on end! Home by 9:30pm, pretty civilised actually.
