Another Boat Ramp from this morning, this time on the other side of the cape. Big swell here today, pity anyone who was in a boat on the Southwest Coast this week!
Love the 10 stop B&W ND
Oh and did I mention my beautiful Phase One!

There wasn’t a lawyer, doctor or sports star in site this morning and I had Eagle Bay to myself. I guess that happens when it’s still only 5am. We had some nice cloud down here today and even a little rain. The old 5D2 isn’t that bad a camera you know, I guess I can live with it for a whilst. I like this image as it is your typical hot humid stormy summer morning. The cloud was better above me and not so interesting on the horizon. Oh well you can’t have everything. More of the “Landscapes” to come.
oh and BTW can you all go and visit Dylans blog again, the poor bugger isn’t feeling the love!

This is a photo I took in New Norcia the other month with photographers Mark Stothard, David Bettini and Greg Munyard. After seeing Marks photo of the old mansion in Trinidad I got all inspired to have a crack my own architectural photography. This was again tone mapped from a single image in photoshop with the photomatix plugin. I am really loving doing this on just the single images, I haven’t seemed to get too many noise issues, nothing Noise Ninja couldn’t fix anyway. This image was taken with the 5D mark II and my trusty Canon 50mm f/1.2 god I love that lens.

Ok so I did make the guys wait around whilst I took this pic. It was pretty unique, and summed up this dying town. It was pretty sad really and as a business person I know how hard it is to make ends meet. I feel for anyone who has to loose something they have worked hard for. Such is life, and as Malcolm Fraser said “it wasn’t meant to be easy”
Is it a good shot? well it isn’t bad, will it sell, no way!!!! Still I enjoyed taking it so who cares, this one is for me. Wow I’m starting to sound like an artist!!

There are so many little islands all around here. It is fantastic as the waters are alive. We saw about 20 sharks in the shallows chasing Turtles around, huge schools of fish feeding, whales and heaps of eagle rays in large groups. This morning we drifted over coral reef and visited several sandy islands. This place has it all.

We had an hour each in the chopper with the door off. We were able to get out on the skid as we had a harness on. Unfortunately the pilot said that is we went into the drink getting out of the chopper was going to be a little harder, great, why did he tell me that. Still we made it and had a ball flying around getting pics like this one.
