Don’t forget your entries into the Landscape 500
So far we have only 200 entries so that is pretty good odds. Remember even if you don’t win every photo is scored by the 4 judges. It is a great way to find out just exactly how your images are rated by four of the best in the industry. Nick Rains, Tom Putt, Peter Eastway and David Evans. Between them there are decades of knowledge.
Attached is a photo of an old ute I found inland from Noosa. I gave myself a task, photograph something that could have been shot years ago and make it look like it! Think it worked ?
This is a photo that could be entered into the competition.

Minutes after getting this shot the spaceship that made these crop circle came back. The bait had worked, they had their specimens for the horrific anal probe experiments! So you won’t be seeing any new work from these two photographers…………… I told them to think outside of the circle!
Word has it Tom Putt was abducted weeks earlier, explains a few things!!!
Nice circle work BTW. Those aliens know how to party!

This is a classic Victorian Autumn scene. As Tommy mentioned on his blog we were waiting for the light on this bridge whilst Markie had shot off down the river. After 30mins we thought we had better see what the guy was up to. And what did we find, Markie all over this tree like girls to a pink feather boa! There was no danger so I took the shot! The early morning fog was the icing on the cake. hmmm making me hungry! After this golden moment we went into Mt Beauty for some breakie, what a morning.
Phase one P65+, 645df body, 80mm f/2.8 Schneider lens.

Took this photo with Mark Stothard, Tommy Putt and Tony Middleton. What it doesn’t show was the apparent temperature, -2.2. It was a wee bit chilly, i.e Tommy being all rugged up. I only had an army shirt with the sleeves cut off as I don’t think -2.2 is really that cold. Still the P65 gives off a bit of heat when she is going flat out. When I’m shooting I’m running on pure adrenalin, it is UN-BELIEVABLE !!!
The old ND filter came in handy for this pic. Kept telling the boys the dynamic range of this scene was going to kill them. They kept telling me they were going to kill me if I didn’t shut up. Still you can’t argue with 12 stops of dynamic range. Ah yep, yep, yep, anyone else want to kill me?

Have a look at the guy would ya, all action man. I haven’t seen another photographer look this rugged since Peter Lik. Tommy your on the way my friend.
Shot this with the Phase, oh so sharp. Straight out of the camera too. No massaging pixels. Couldn’t stand looking at Tommy for longer than a few minutes. Felt a little wrong!

Keep you clothes on girls, oh and some of you guys, here in all his manhood is the superstar of Victorian Photography. Tommy P, as we all know him, took out 7 awards at the recent VIC Aipp awards, eclipsing the work of Peter Eastway in the NSW awards. He will be looking to do well in the APPA’s next month and I plan on him and I being the first two spots for landscapes! So that is me first and Tommy second right? Haha.
Actually we might get the wooden spoon award but in our minds we are winners.
Tommy, you are a bloody funny bugger, we love ya man! Actually you and Muzz together would be a sight. Lets organise it.

Got some nice light tonight. Unfortunately Neal, Phil and Clint went to Mount Buffalo and we had to kick their arses……………. again!! Now this stitch from 3 Phase files is 80″ wide @ 240dpi. It is so sharp my eyes were bleeding just looking at it. I know I can’t match Tommy’s 9 images posted tonight in the same time, but you just wouldn’t blow one of his up and expect to see any detail sharp. Look good on the web though! HaHa, oh and if you see some photos of me on his blog, they were set up, he told me to look stupid. I’m so nice I did what he said not thinking he would use them to defame me!

True North Trip 13
Markie has been pulling out some more Kimberley trip gems so not to be outdone I thought this was a great travel shot taken on an island with huge sandstone sculptures. The model was one of the passengers who was French, I know as much French as Tom Putt knows hard work! She was a natural!

For those of you wanting a magazine full of great tips and tricks, not to mention some mint photographers, check out the summer edition of Better Photography Magazine. Ok when I talked about mint photographers I was referring to myself!!! There are a couple of other dodgy shooters in there too like Tom “Tommy” Putt (the prettiest man in his own lunchbox) and Matt Lauder (who makes Tom Putt look like Elmer Fudd). This is Peter Eastways magazine if you didn’t already know, probably the second greatest photographer to ever walk the planet! Who is the greatest I hear you say? Well work it out people, it isn’t rocket science………………..!!! 🙂
